Help Center

Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we receive.

If you need further assistance, feel free to give us a call on +64 3 546 9137 or email us on studio@benjaminblack.co.nz or check out our Contact page.

What happens if my ring does not fit?

Your signet ring will be made to the size you provide us with. If your ring does not fit upon receiving it, we can resize it at no extra cost within two sizes up or down if you are based within New Zealand (excluding shipping costs), or, it can be resized by your local manufacturing jeweller.

If you are based overseas, we strongly recommend visiting a jeweller to confirm your finger size.

Do you have a store I can visit?

Yes. Our workshop and showroom is located in Nelson at Benjamin Black Goldsmiths, 176 Bridge Street.

What happens once I place my order?

When you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email from us. Our design team will then be in touch with you within one working day to finalise your engraving style and finger size.

Then, our design team will create the artowork for your design and send it through to you for approval prior to engraving.

What if I don't know what to engrave?

If you are unsure of what to engrave, or if you have an idea, but don't know how to describe it, our design team can help to interpret and create an insignia for you.

We can discuss the elements you want to incorporate and then design a unique crest, symbol or monogram for you to treasure forever. This discussion will take place after we have received your order.

How long will it take for you to make my design?

Your signet ring will take approximately two to three weeks to create, however, if you have an urgent request we may be able to create it within a quicker timeframe.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to most international locations. If you would like to confirm that we ship to your country please contact us.

How do I find my finger size?

The most accurate way to find your finger size is to visit your local jeweller. They will be able to accurately measure for you. If this is not possible, download and print our size guide here.
